Mantrailing is an exciting activity where dogs learn to follow a human scent trail and find a hidden 'missing' person. It’s a fun, rewarding activity for both dogs and their owners, regardless of skill level!
Yes, reactive dogs are absolutely welcome! Mantrailing is a perfect activity for reactive dogs because each dog works individually, which means they can enjoy the session without the pressure of being around other dogs.
Absolutely! If you’ve had previous mantrailing experience with another instructor, you’re more than welcome to join our sessions. We’re always happy to see experienced trailers, and we’ll tailor the trails to suit your dog’s level of experience. Whether you’re looking to build on your current skills or just want to have fun with your dog, we’re excited to have you along!
We have an average of 3 sessions per week, typically on Wednesday mornings, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday mornings. Each session lasts around 3 hours.
No, all sessions are mixed level, which means everyone is welcome. We tailor each trail to the individual dog and handler, so whether you’re a beginner or experienced, the trails will suit your dog's ability and your comfort level.
During the session, dogs take turns trailing, and in between their turns, they rest comfortably in the car. We always have someone by the cars to make sure the dogs are safe and comfortable. When it’s not your turn, you’ll help by hiding for other people’s dogs, which adds to the fun and teamwork.
Definitely! Mantrailing is not only a great bonding activity with your dog but also a fantastic way to meet and connect with other dog lovers. The atmosphere is always relaxed, and we work together to make it fun for everyone.
Mantrailing provides your dog with mental stimulation and physical exercise, boosts their confidence, and allows them to use their incredible sense of smell. It also helps with focus, self-control, and strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
